Choosing your hair

How many bundles do I need?

Fuller styles and smaller parts use more hair. If you are between two options, size up — running short mid-install is the most common thing our customers tell us they regret.

How much does one bundle weigh?

Every bundle is 100g. Two bundles is 200g, three is 300g.

What is the difference between your braiding hair options?

#1B Natural Black — our natural colour, available 14″–30″ in seven textures. Ships fastest because there is no colour processing.
Custom Coloured — coloured to order in 15 shades, 16″–24″, deep wave. Add 3–4 business days for colour processing.
Custom Mixed Colour — blended shades like 4/27, 1b/30 and 4/30/27 for a highlighted finish.
Raw Bulk — our premium tier. Unprocessed hair in Wavy Curl and Indonesian Curly, which holds its natural pattern longer.

Which texture should I choose?

We offer Deep Wave, Italian Curly, Water Wave, Body Wave, Deep Curly, Burmese Curly, Natural Wave and Wet & Wavy depending on the product. Deep Wave is our most popular for boho and goddess braids — it gives defined curls at the ends without much styling.

Closure or frontal — what is the difference?

Closure — a square panel (4x4 up to 7x7). Middle or side part only. Faster to install and less expensive.
Frontal — runs ear to ear (13x4 or 13x6). Part anywhere, pull the hair fully off your face, wear a ponytail.

Order your closure at or below the length of your shortest bundle so it blends into the layers rather than sitting on top of them.

180% or 200% density?

180% — natural, everyday fullness. Best for 14″–20″.
200% — fuller and more dramatic. Recommended for 22″ and longer, so the ends do not thin out.

Caring for your hair

Can I dye, bleach or tone it?

Yes — all our hair is 100% human, so it takes colour. We strongly recommend a professional colourist. Our #613 blonde is already pre-lightened, so it tones beautifully to honey, ash, caramel or pastel shades, but over-processing it at home will compromise it. Colour damage caused at home is not covered.

Can I use heat on it?

Yes. Always use a heat protectant. Curly and wavy textures will return to their pattern after washing, but repeated high heat shortens the life of any hair.

How long will it last?

With proper care, our bundles and braiding hair can be washed, stored and reinstalled several times — which is the main reason customers move from synthetic to human hair. Lifespan depends on how you wear and maintain it.

How do I wash it?

Wash every 2–3 weeks with a sulphate-free shampoo, condition through the mid-lengths and ends, and air dry where possible. Keep heavy oils off lace. Wrap in satin at night.

Does human hair braiding hair itch?

No. The itching people associate with braids comes from the alkaline coating on synthetic hair, not from the braiding itself. Human hair has no coating. If your scalp is prone to dryness, our Peppermint & Tea Tree Anti-Itch Treatment keeps it comfortable through a long-wear style.

Orders and shipping

How long until my order ships?

In-stock items — processed within 2–5 business days
Items we need to order in — 3–7 business days
Custom-coloured bulk hair — add 3–4 business days for colour processing
Wigs — made to order, allow 7–14 days total

Once shipped, allow a further 3–5 business days for US delivery. Tracking is emailed when your order leaves us.

What does shipping cost?

US standard shipping is a $15 flat rate, and free on orders over $400. International shipping is a $40 flat rate. Please note that braided wigs are not eligible for international shipping.

Can I collect my order?

Local pickup is available in Houston, TX 77095 on select items. Many items need to be ordered in first, so please confirm availability with us before placing your order if you need it urgently.

Why must my billing and shipping address match?

It is a fraud-prevention measure. Orders with mismatched details may be delayed while we verify them.

Returns and exchanges

My order arrived damaged, or it is the wrong item.

Contact us within 7 days of delivery at hbmecollection@gmail.com with your order number and clear photos. We will replace it or refund you in full — no restocking fee.

Can I return or exchange an item I simply changed my mind about?

Unopened, unaltered #1B natural colour bulk hair and bundles may be exchanged within 7 days of delivery, in original packaging with ties intact. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

Custom-coloured hair, custom mixed-colour hair and all wigs are final sale. These are made to order specifically for you after your order is placed and cannot be resold.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Contact us as soon as possible. If production or colour processing has already begun, we may not be able to change it. If you are unsure which length, texture or colour to choose, message us before ordering — we would far rather help you pick correctly.
